Of the many shoe manufacturers that have sent SADMERC (now PDAC) samples of their shoes for the Medicare therapuetic shoes for diabetes program, most if not all offer white, clay, bone, and mesh uppers as well as black and brown leather uppers.  So it is not completely accurate to implicate that Medicare shoes are only or primarily available in colors that would increase the temperature of the foot.  Since it is presumed that many individuals with diabetes have poor foot circulation and report having &quot;cold&quot; feet, perhaps a study to determine whether or not raising the temperature of the feet of individuals with diabetes has positive or negative outcomes is needed.</description>
